COMPANY INFORMATION

The process of organizing First America Bank began in 2002.  On October 22, 2003, the Organizers filed an application for the formation of a state chartered bank with the State of Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and an application with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) for deposit insurance. First America Bank opened its doors on June 1, 2004. Since that time, First America Bank has opened three banking center locations and an operations center serving both Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

FIRST AMERICA STRATEGY

The mission of the Bank is to provide high-quality financial products with personalized customer service.  First America’s strategy is to cater to consumers, professionals, small businesses, developers and commercial real estate investors by offering quality, professional financial services.  First America intends to build its deposit base and loan portfolio through service-oriented relationship banking.

The objective is to be a premier community bank through a strategy that includes hiring and retaining qualified associates who are familiar with the Manatee and Sarasota market, involved in the community, can implement a community based marketing program and provide personalized quality banking services to customers.

First America’s internal growth strategy is primarily focused on “total relationship banking,” which means developing a personalized package of financial services and providing superior service to customers with high transactional needs.  By focusing on customer relationships, First America believes it fills a niche that is typically neglected by larger banks.  The Bank’s target market consists of consumers, professionals, small businesses, developers and commercial real estate investors in Manatee and Sarasota Counties and their surrounding areas.  The objective is to continue to expand its business development team and to support them with quality financial products and customer service.

MANAGEMENT

First America Bank has assembled an experienced Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.  These individuals share the vision and commitment to the success of the bank.  The Bank is led by Daniel S. Hager, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer who has over 30 years of banking experience, Henry A. Goldsby, President and Chief Operations Officer who has over 35 years of banking experience and Michael L. Hogan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer who has over 22 years of banking experience.

The Board of Directors is business professionals who have lived or conducted business in Florida for many years.  They also have significant business interests in the community.  The Bank believes that their long-standing ties to the community, combined with their business and banking experience, provides the Bank with the unique ability to understand the needs of the market area.

CURRENT MARKET AREA

The primary service areas for First America Bank are Manatee and Sarasota Counties, located on the central West Coast of Florida between Tampa and Naples.

Both Manatee and Sarasota Counties attract large numbers of retirees due to the warm climate and mild winters, the accessibility of the beaches, relatively low cost of living and overall quality of lifestyle that emphasize a family life.

The area’s 62 miles of beaches accommodate various forms of recreation.  A large number of individuals and businesses have re-located to Manatee and Sarasota Counties to take advantage of the area’s attractiveness and close proximity to Tampa / St. Petersburg.

The business economy of the Bank’s market area is represented primarily by real estate, finance and insurance, health care, and construction industries.  To complete, First America Bank relies upon specialized services, responsive handling of customer needs and personal contacts by its officers, directors and associates.
